Voices were lifted at 54 Below for a glorious opening celebration of Black History Month on February 2 presented by Young, Gifted & Broadway. The evening featured 19 young singers each offering a musical tribute to a legendary Black American.

Disney’s The Lion King will welcome new cast members beginning Tuesday, August 19. Caleb Beltran and Julius-Raymond Weems IV will perform as Young Simba, while McKenzie Sherie Lewis and Emma Origenes will perform as Young Nala at certain performances.
Lincoln Alejandro Collier will join the Broadway cast of MJ in the role of Little Marlon beginning tonight, Friday, August 8. Originally from Los Angeles, Collier will make his Broadway debut in the production, replacing Julius-Raymond Weems IV.
Young Gifted and Broadway hosted its 2nd annual “Spotlight Ceremony” this past weekend on June 28th, 2025 in the Barrymore Room at the Marriott Marquis. Check out photos from the event.
