DESERT THEATRICALS will present the musical CABARET featuring Jeffrey Scott Parsons and Ava Sarnowski. The production will take place at the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater with a live orchestra.

Desert Theatricals brings the legendary Broadway musical Chicago to the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater for a limited three-night run, opening March 13. Packed with murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and treachery — all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts — the Kander and Ebb classic remains as sharp and entertaining today as when it first premiered. Under the direction of Ray Limon, this stylish production embraces the show’s signature blend of vaudeville spectacle, biting satire, and sultry jazz.

Desert Theatricals along with presenting partner the City of Rancho Mirage continue their musical collaboration with “The Broadway Series” at the Rancho Mirage Amphitheatre from March 13-15, 2026 with their presentation of the crowd-pleasing smash hit musical “CHICAGO.”

What did our critic think of THE ADDAMS FAMILY at Rancho Mirage Amphitheater?

THE ADDAMS FAMILY is coming to Rancho Mirage Amphitheater from October 24–26 as part of its Broadway Series, presented in partnership with the City of Rancho Mirage.

John Waters made films for queer people long before the word queer was embraced by the community. That he was good friends with Warhol makes complete sense to me. They were cut from the same jib. What makes Waters a far better filmmaker was his ability to give us a fun story steeped in pretty clear messages while Warhol’s films are more like abstract art.

Desert Theatricals, with presenting partner, the City of Rancho Mirage, continues “The Broadway Series!” featuring professional actors and live orchestra all under the award-winning artistic direction of Ray Limon and Joshua Carr. Next up it’s the crowd-pleasing smash hit musical “HAIRSPRAY” (Apr 11-13). 

Although Desert Theatricals announced a smaller season of specials at the Rancho Mirage Library, they're coming back strong with three crowd favorites, OLIVER!, HAIRSPRAY, and ADDAMS FAMILY.

Desert Theatricals has cast Oliver! and Hairspray at the Rancho Mirage Amphitheatre featuring local actors and others from LA, Orange, and Riverside County as well as Fort Lauderdale, FL.
