Amas Musical Theatre has announced the full cast for Amas – You Love!: A Heart to Heart Virtual Celebration, its upcoming virtual benefit gala commemorating the company’s 52nd Anniversary, on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 7pm with Honorary Chair, Grammy Award-winning Latin recording artist and activist Rubén Blades.

The Blank Theatre's Living Room Series has announced a reading of Hard on Love by Scott Barry on Monday, January 25, at 8pm. Directed by Jonathan Cerullo, the cast will feature (in alphabetical order) Jesse Havea/Brita Filter (RuPaul's Drag Race) and Rob Nagle.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation affiliated with Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, presented the third annual SDCF Awards including the Gordon Davidson Award, Zelda Fichandler Award, Joe A. Callaway Awards, and Breakout Award. The event took place on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Broadway costume designer turned playwright, Carrie Robbins, will present the world premiere of her latest work, PIE LESSONS, with her production company Days of the Giants, Oct. 25-Nov. 3 as part of THE N.Y. INTERNATIONAL FRINGE FESTIVAL at Metropolitan Playhouse (220A East 4th Street) in Manhattan. PIE LESSONS, directed by Jonathan Cerullo, debuts this fall having previously received a staged-reading last spring at Theater for the New City as part of Crystal Field, Exec. Artistic Director's Scratch Night. Pie will be served!

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) today announced the recipient of the inaugural Eric H. Weinberger Award for Emerging Librettists, a juried cash and production grant given annually to support the early work and career of a deserving musical theatre librettist, commemorating the life and work of playwright/librettist Eric H. Weinberger (1950-2017), who was a Drama Desk Award nominee for Best Book of a Musical (Wanda's World), and the playwright/librettist of Class Mothers '68, which earned Pricilla Lopez a Drama Desk Award nomination.

In addition, SDC Member, 2015 'Mr. Abbott' Award recipient, and Tony Award winner James Lapine presented a special 'Mr. Abbott' Award to Victoria Traube.
