BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that James Lipton, executive producer, writer, and host of the Bravo cable television series Inside the Actors Studio, has died at age 93.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Zoe Caldwell, four-time Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, died peacefully at the age of 86 at her home in Pound Ridge, New York, on Sunday, February 16, 2020. The cause of death was complications due to Parkinson's disease, according to her son, Charlie Whitehead. Today, we remember Caldwell with a look back at photos from our archives.

Amazon Prime Video announced today that it has ordered a second season of the half-hour romantic anthology series Modern Love. Modern Love, which debuted globally on Prime Video on October 18, is inspired by the popular The New York Times column of the same name. The series explores love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms, as each standalone episode brings some of the column's most beloved stories to life with a stellar cast. Season two of Modern Love will premiere on Prime Video in 2020 in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

Stage and film actress Ilana Levine has partnered with The Stage Network to bring her hit podcast to the screen in Little Known Facts: The Series. Levine's new talk show series will allow listeners to feel like flies on the wall as her award-winning guests share secrets, fears, inspirations and challenges about pursuing a career in the arts.

New York's leading LGBTQ film festival, NewFest, has announced the full lineup of their 31st annual celebration of the year's best LGBTQ films from around the world. Disney Television Studios, comprised of Twentieth Century Fox Television, ABC Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios, returns to New York Comic Con with stars and creators from three of the studio's thrilling series at the increasingly popular East Coast 'Con next month. It was announced today that the new musical Swept Away, featuring the music of The Avett Brothers, will have its world premiere at Berkeley Rep as part of their 2019-20 season, beginning performances in June 2020. Swept Away is produced by Berkeley Rep by special arrangement with Matthew Masten and Sean Hudock.

With production underway, FX today shared a first look at the cast of the upcoming FX limited series Mrs. America. The images from unit photography were revealed by John Landgraf, Chairman, FX Networks and FX Production, during the Executive Session of FX Networks' presentation to the Television Critics Association.
