Shucked, the new Broadway musical comedy, featuring a book by Tony Award winner Robert Horn, and a score by the Nashville songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, will be releasing an original Broadway cast recording!

Oliver Tompsett will star as Edward Lewis from Tuesday 4 April 2023 in PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL at the Savoy Theatre until Sunday 18 June 2023 when the production leaves London ahead of embarking on a UK and Ireland Tour opening at the Birmingham Alexandra Theatre on 17 October 2023. Casting for the UK and Ireland Tour to be announced.

We have an exclusive first listen to the very first song released from the upcoming new Broadway musical, Shucked! Titled 'Maybe Love',  the song is written and performed by the show’s composers Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, who collectively have earned three Grammy Awards and 18 Grammy nominations. Shucked will play Broadway's Nederlander Theatre with preview performances beginning Wednesday, March 8 for a Tuesday, April 4 opening night. We have photos of the new theatre marquee!

PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL will embark on a UK and Ireland Tour opening at the Birmingham Alexandra Theatre on 17 October 2023. Casting and further venues will be announced soon.

Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, will present the San Francisco Bay Area premiere of PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL at San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts beginning Tuesday, March 21 and running through Sunday, March 26, 2023.

This past year was filled with exceptional theatrical productions in the St. Louis Arts Community. Nearly every performance in 2022 at STAGES St. Louis, The Muny, The Black Rep and Midnight Company were entertaining with only a few misfires. As a long-time season ticket holder to The Fabulous Fox Theatre and a first-time attendee to New Line Theatre, I had the opportunity to see nearly every theatrical production that was staged in these venues. Instead of compiling a top ten list of best shows, I decided this would be the opportunity to recognize the best work, both performing and technical theater, that I observed in 2022. Without further ado, here are the ten best works on the stages of St. Louis throughout the past year.
