Photo Coverage: John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey Bring 'Grownup Songs' to Cafe Carlyle

Jessica Molaskey bravely walked to the Cafe Carlyle stage albeit with one crutch and the guidance of husband John Pizzarelli. Her replacement for the other evening when she injured her back, Bucky Pizzarelli was now in Colorado on a gig and John & Jessica were embarking on their 8th season of Cafe Carlyle performances. Check out the photos of the evening below!

Luckily the Pizzarelli bench had someone to replace Jessica Molaskey at last night's performance. 88 year young Bucky Pizzarelli was the designated musician, and for lovers of jazz and great music this was a night to remember. It was a spectacular display of guitar playing as the symmetry of notes between father and son(s), with Martin on bass is a unique listening experience.

BWW Reviews: Amanda McBroom and George Ball Are Thoroughly Enchanting During Their Enchanted Show at 54 Below

New York cabaret audiences have for years been blessed with extremely entertaining performing marrieds like John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molasky, Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano, and Michael Garin and Mardie Millett. But after experiencing the thoroughly enchanting October 8 performance from Amanda McBroom and her husband George Ball at 54 Below (there was a second performance on October 14), it's difficult to imagine a cabaret couple more compelling. In short, the Balls were having a ball and, ultimately, so did their audience.

Jazz Vocalist Marcus Goldhaber's A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND AN EVENING Out Tomorrow

Poised for breakout success, acclaimed NYC jazz vocalist-songwriter MARCUS GOLDHABER takes another considerable step forward with tomorrow's Oct. 14, 2014 release of A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND AN EVENING (Fallen Apple Records/The Orchard) -- the first album with major distribution behind this rapidly rising artist who JazzTimes says 'rivals the jazz instincts of Chet Baker and John Pizzarelli.' The powerful, 12-track collection reintroduces some of Goldhaber's favorite standards alongside five originals, and is 'as pleasant a listening experience as male vocal jazz gets' (Late to Jazz).

Annie Ross Performs Tribute & CD Release Show at The Metropolitan Room Tonight

The concept of tribute in jazz has become as common as the use of 4/4 time. But when a tribute is paid to a giant by an artist who has earned her own right to tribute through her personal accomplishments, an entirely new dimension is in play. Such is the case with Annie Ross' stunning To Lady with Love – an extraordinary homage to Annie's personal idol – the immortal Billie Holiday.
