PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra kicks off the 2015-2016 PNC Pops season with "Sinatra and Beyond with Tony DeSare, a tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes in celebration of the iconic singer's 100th birthday, on October 2-4 at Heinz Hall.

THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, September 27 at 9:30 PM to open the Fall 2015 Season. The September 2015 show will feature a celebration of Whitney Houston, with special guests Darius de Haas, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jaime Cepero, Inyang Bassey and others to be announced. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

Mitch Albom will host an evening of entertainment and storytelling to benefit S.A.Y Detroit and the launch of his newest novel “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto” at the Fox Theatre on Sunday, November 8 at 7 p.m. The event will be a mix of performances and conversations between Albom and a wildly impressive line-up of music-related guests including Earl Klugh, Ted Nugent, Michael Bolton, JK Simmons (Oscar winner for 'Whiplash) jazz guitar star John Pizzarelli, Phredley Brown (musical director for Bruno Mars), Roger McGuinn (founding member of the Byrds) and local musicians Olivia Millerschin and Vito Lafata, as well as others. Milford Arts Council, in association with Pantochino Productions Inc. has announced a new entertainment series, Nite Spot Nights, debuting this Fall at the Center for the Arts on Railroad Avenue in Downtown Milford.

This weekend, September 10, 11, and 12, 2015, a stunning display of the world's most remarkable and significant guitarists will gather for the sixth installment of ELLNORA | The Guitar Festival, presented by Krannert Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Six exciting performances have been added to the roster of  the McCallum Theatre's 2015-2016 season, including Bill Maher, Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes Starring Jason Petty, Last Comic Standing, Canadian superstar Jesse Cook, Wynonna and The Big Noise and the triumphant McCallum return of 2CELLOS.  Brochures with these added performances and the entire season should reach local mailboxes by the second week of September. Tickets for ALL performances go on sale on Tuesday, September 15th at 8:00am.

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has announced the Cafe Carlyle's fall 2015 season, which features the venue debuts of the Broadway veteran Brian Stokes Mitchell, who kicks off the season, and jazz vocalist Kurt Elling; as well as the return of audience favorites Buster Poindexter (aka David Johansen), Alexa Ray Joel, John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey, and Steve Tyrell.

The Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra extended the audience favorite Delta POPS! season to include 10 performances for the 2015-16 season. Six of the 10 concerts will be led by Principal Delta POPS! Conductor Michael Krajewski.

At the top of her show, SEE JANE SING!, Jane Lynch jokes that she always wanted to be the kind of TV celebrity that held an audience hostage for an hour as she dabbled in the art of cabaret. Luckily for us, deft comedienne Lynch surprises the audience by being a fantastic singer, leaving the audience begging her for more encores.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College announces its 2015-16 Season of music, dance, theater, and family programming, reflecting the multicultural diversity of Brooklyn. Hailing from Austria, Russia, China, Canada, and across the United States, the awards-winning artists include both Brooklyn Center premieres and returning favorites.
