Colt Coeur is welcoming 3 additional artists (playwrights Bleu Beckford Burrell, Adrienne Dawes, and Noelle Viñas) to its Residency Program, with 4 of last year's Residents (directors Tara Elliott, J. Mehr Kaur, and Portia Krieger, and playwright Emma Goidel) opting to extend their Residency through 2021 (due to the unique impact of the Covid-19 pandemic).

Cherry Lane Theatre (Angelina Fiordellisi, Executive Director; Seri Lawrence, Artistic Director) has announced a workshop presentation of a new work, The Making Of) How to Save the World in 90 Minutes by writer/composer Shawn Randall, directed by Alfredo Narciso and mentored by Diana Oh ({my lingerie play}). Oren Safdie, a nationally celebrated playwright of contemporary architecture culture, will have his play, Color Blind, presented as a staged performance at the Center for Architecture in New York. The play was featured at the 2019 Symposium on Race & Architecture at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, and recently won the Kevin Tierney Prize for best new English language play in Quebec.

Jeremy O. Harris's Slave Play, directed by Robert O'Hara, concluded its Broadway run at the John Golden Theatre yesterday. The show played 29 previews and 121 regular performances. Check out the director addressing the crowd following the hit play's final curtain call.
