Due to popular demand, Steppenwolf Theatre Company has added seven more performances to the run of MS. BLAKK FOR PRESIDENT. Now playing through July 21, this new work was conceived of and directed by ensemble member Tina Landau (SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical) and created by ensemble members Tina Landau and Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight, Academy Award).

2019 Marin County Fair, Over the Moon! kicks off in high gear this summer offering spectacular fun for five days and providing something for everyone. The 2019 fair will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing as well as the things Marin County values the most: family, art, agriculture, and the environment. While MS. BLAKK FOR PRESIDENT's narrative flounders in certain points, the play's integrity never flounders. Watching the play unfold, there's no denying the relevance of the issues that Blakk faced in 1992 to today's society. But the play brilliantly conveys that resonance while also still maintaining a light-hearted and celebratory tone worthy of the story that it portrays.

Children's Theatre Company announced today they are entering the development phase on a new punk rock musical based on the award-winning book, The First Rule of Punk by Celia C. Perez. This premiere production will feature select songs from the BMG catalog. Pacific Festival Ballet of Thousand Oaks will be premiering its new ballet version of Camelot, the original 'Game of Thrones' in two performances on May 18 at the Fred Kavli Theatre in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Directed and choreographed by Kim Maselli and featuring new music by Eric Allaman.

Kevin Black, one of South Florida's best-known producer/director/choreographers, is once again collaborating with award-winning vocalist Mimi J to create a concert program that will appeal to audiences of all ages. The two have worked together several times developing shows that achieved great success - most notably On the Radio: Sounds of the 70s, which debuted at Stage Door Theatre in 2014, and eventually morphed into I Will Survive.  That show went on to play several other area venues. 

Benzel-Busch Motor Car announces the 2019 Benzel-Busch Concert Series at Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) in Englewood, NJ.

Students will perform in a one-night-only musical UNSTOPPABLE, Tales from the Schoolyard on May 8, 2019 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture. Students in Haven Kids Rock, the afterschool music program of Mott Haven Academy in the South Bronx, will harness the power of music and the performing arts to explore the themes of immigration, shelter, foster care, family, and more through the lens of their firsthand experiences growing up and coming of age in New York City. Many of the students in Haven Kids Rock are also involved in New York City's child welfare and foster care systems, bringing their own personal experiences to the stage.
