Photo Flash: 'Frankenstein the Musical' CD Release Party

Last season, Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein was reborn as a highly anticipated new musical opening at off-Broadway's 37 Arts. On Thursday, September 4th, company members of Frankenstein the Musical reunited for a CD release celebration at The Irish Rouge located at 365 West 44th St.

'Frankenstein' Recording to be Released on 9/2

Last season, Mary Shelley's novel was reborn as a highly anticipated new musical opening at off-Broadway's 37 Arts. This September, Frankenstein, a new musical, will release an original cast recording. Distributed by Friends of Ghostlight, an extension of Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records, Frankenstein, a new musical will be available online (iTunes, Amazon MP3, Rhapsody, etc.) September 2nd and available in stores September 30th. Signature Theatre Opens ACE Tonight, August 27th

Signature Theatre is pleased to announce complete casting for the opening show of its 2008-2009 season, ACE. With music by Richard Oberacker and book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, ACE will be directed by Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer with choreography by Karma Camp. Set just after WWII, ACE is an epic story of a young boy's search to come to terms with his past and unlock his future. A tale of triumph, humor, and heart as seen through a child's eyes, ACE magically explores the heroic lives and unforeseen legacies of the men and women of America's Greatest Generation.

George Psomas Performs Solo At Zipper 8/4

New York Musical Theater Festival's 2007 'Broadway Idol' winner, George Psomas, takes a night off from his role in the acclaimed revival of South Pacific to take the stage in his solo New York concert debut on Monday August 4th (10 PM) - joined by several special guests including Tony Award nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q) and Jim Stanek (Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, staring with Nathan Lane). NYMF Director of Programming Jess McLeod directs, with musical direction by Jana Zielonka, along with musicians Brad Russell and Jay Mack.

'Frankenstein' at 37 Arts Closes Off-Bway on 12/9

Frankenstein, the off-Broadway musical adapted from Mary Shelley's novel, will play its final performance on Sunday, December 9 at 3PM after 70 performances (including 25 previews).
