Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, announces the Orange County premiere of “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity,” a dramatic comedy by Kristoffer Diaz that was one of the final nominees for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and snagged numerous “Best Play” Awards. Directed by Jeremy Aluma, “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity” previews from September 23rd through September 30th, with regular performances running October 1st to October 23rd on the Cripe Stage at the Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

Four New Board Members Join Alliance For Jewish Theatre

Alliance For Jewish Theatre has announced the addition of Debórah Eliezer, Hadar Galron, Yehudah Jai Husband and Ari Weinberg to its Board of Directors. Representing three countries and a wide array of theatrical disciplines, they will serve as Members-at-Large for a two-year term. They join a board composed of international artists who advise the 41-year-old organization dedicated to the world-wide Jewish theatre community.

The Alliance for Jewish Theatre hosted the largest Jewish theatre arts conference in the country on November 3 - 5, 2019. Nearly 100 artists from North America and Israel converged in Chicago at AJT's annual conference which was hosted by ShPIel. Artistic Directors, Playwrights, Directors, Actors, and others were inspired to share ideas and discuss initiatives, as a vision for the future of Jewish theatre came into focus.

The fantasy-comedy by Rick Elice, author of JERSEY BOYS, THE ADDAMS FAMILY and THE CHER SHOW, imagines how Peter Pan might have become lost in Neverland, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER's Broadway production was nominated for nine Tony Awards (including Best Play) and won five.

Midsommer Flight to present staged reading of CORIOLANUS at Uncommon Ground in Edgewater May 2 and 3 Midsommer Flight, the professional not-for-profit theatre company that has been bringing free Shakespeare to Chicago parks since 2012, will perform a free staged reading of CORIOLANUS on Thursday, May 2 at 7 pm and Friday, May 3 at 8 pm. Both readings will be performed at Uncommon Ground Edgewater, 1401 W. Devon Avenue. Tickets will be free, with reservations available through the Midsommer Flight website.

Beginning now and running through 2019 and beyond, The Clown School is thrilled to announce the official opening of new branches in Chicago (IL), Annapolis (MD) and Lorton (VA). The classes in Chicago will be taught by Jeremy Aluma. The classes in Annapolis (MD) and Lorton (VA) will be taught by Mike Funt. Additionally, the School is launching an Online Certificate Training in Clown - the first of its kind in the world.
