Last night, Jack White kicked off The Supply Chain Issues Tour with a special FEAR OF THE DAWN album release show at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre, his first headline show in four years. The performance included a surprise proposal during his performance of “Hotel Yorba” followed by an on stage marriage ceremony to Olivia Jean, with Third Man’s Ben Swank serving as officiant. White’s mother, Jean’s father, their family and close friends were in attendance.

Jack White has released his first of two new albums this year, FEAR OF THE DAWN, available everywhere via Third Man Records. Featuring acclaimed singles “Taking Me Back' & “Hi-De-Ho (w/ Q-Tip),” as well as rollicking title track “Fear Of The Dawn,” the new album can be enjoyed on all formats, including a variety of limited edition vinyl pressings.

Bourbon & Beyond’s incredible headlining talent begins with Jack White and Alanis Morissette Thursday, September 15; followed by Kings of Leon and Brandi Carlile on Friday, September 16; Pearl Jam and Greta Van Fleet on Saturday, September 17; and a very special closing night Sunday, September 18 including Kentucky native Chris Stapleton.

Before all twelve tracks from Wet Leg are revealed, today the duo share new song “Ur Mum.” The video is directed by Lava La Rue. Guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Jonah Tolchin today unveils “Black Hole,” the hypnotic opening track from his upcoming studio album, Lava Lamp. Co-produced with multi-instrumentalist/engineer Nic Coolidge, Lava Lamp was recorded with a three-piece that included Coolidge on bass and Tolchin’s friend and collaborator Kevin Clifford on drums.

This is Kirke’s first album with Jack White’s veritable Nashville-based indie after signing with them last year. On the album, collaborator Tyler Bryant rips the solo of the year on “Highway Friend.” Brit Turner from Blackberry Smoke makes “Living on the Line'' move and shake, paired up with Rykman’s bass. And Lucero/Chuck Reagan collaborator, Todd Beane, brings a handle of whiskey to soak the slide guitars on “Ode to Manchester.”

No Reverse Records is introducing Saffron Lips, a R&B/soul/jazz duo featuring Stephanie Jae Park (currently Eliza Hamilton on the Philip Tour of Hamilton) and OBC original cast member and dance captain, Voltaire Wade-Greene. 

The video, directed by Nick Collingwood and Stephanie Haller and edited by Dark herself, comes into view on a film reel like a hazy, nostalgia-filled memory. Shot on Super 8 film and 35mm, the video follows Dark on a perfect summer day in Brooklyn bouncing between rooftops, sidewalks gently strumming on a teal Fender Stratocaster.

As all analog music formats (vinyl, cassette, reel-to-reel, etc.) continue to rise in popularity, artists including Eminem, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, and Lana Del Rey have all released recent albums on cassette. The Avett Brothers’ Emotionalism, Jamie Lidell’s Muddlin’ Gear and JD McPherson’s most recent Holiday offering, Socks, will be available.
