Punk rock mastermind Floor Space have released their impassioned third album Maybe This is It, produced by John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Brand New) recorded at Nada Studios. 

Global superstars The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Kygo, Labrinth, Drama, and Harry Hudson are set to take the stage at the second annual Palm Tree Music Festival Aspen. The one-of-a-kind, intimate festival experience co-produced by Palm Tree Crew, Belly Up Aspen, and C3 Presents will take place February 23-24, 2024 at Rio Grande Park.

Last night, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Louis Cato took the stage on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform the title track from his new album, Reflections. The performance marks the first musical guest following the show’s pause amidst the writer’s strike. Watch the video now!

The album was conceived following Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean discovering she was pregnant while on tour with Willie Nelson and Lucinda Williams in San Francisco. They teamed with longtime collaborators Ethan Johns, who contributed drums on the album, and bassist Nick Pini (Laura Marling, Nick Mulvey), to record the album in just 7 days. 

Nashville’s Be Your Own Pet will release their long-awaited new album Mommy via Third Man Records. They tease the LP with a new single, the thunderous “Big Trouble.” The song is a siren-laden jam where front-woman Jemina Pearl insists on her own emotions and reality. The song comes from his debut EP The Confluence, produced by seven-time GRAMMY winner Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Phish, Jack White) and featuring members of the 400 Unit on all tracks. Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Louis Cato is unveiling his new song “Another Day” featuring a duet with Elizabeth Ziman of Elizabeth & The Catapult. The track appears on Cato’s forthcoming album Reflections. Cato is slated to perform an album release show at New York’s (Le) Poisson Rouge on August 11 with special guest Ziman.

Harrelson produces the film as well, along with Post Film’s Russ Posternak, Freestyle Picture Company’s Kevin Chinoy and Francesca Silvestri, 7 Deuce’s Jeremy Plager, Greg Lauritano, Subtractive’s Kyle Schember, and Zac Adams. Academy-Award nominee Will Butler (Arcade Fire) is set to compose the score.

Recorded in just seven days, Thunder Above You marks the most significant creative period in Ida Mae’s career to date. It followed months of touring the states with legendary artists including Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Marcus King and Greta Van Fleet, driving from clubs to arena shows and, all the while, being inspired by the landscapes.

Following a whirlwind two-year career in the late 00’s that saw the four teenagers release two records (via Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace in the US and XL Recordings in the UK), become magazine cover stars, and play to ravenous sold-out crowds around the world, it became clear that the flame burned too quickly and they needed to call it quits.
