Tonight, May 2, 2016, The New York Pops marks its 33rd birthday with a grand gala evening celebrating the revolutionary collaborations of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, the songwriting team behind LES MISERABLES, Miss Saigon, and more. Serving as Honorary Co-Chairs for the event are musical theatre legends Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Patti LuPone.

On Memorial Day weekend, the POPS and the Mann Center for the Performing Arts will present Memorial Salute, Philadelphia's first major Memorial Day concert. The concert, on Saturday, May 28 at 7p.m., will honor the American tradition of service and celebrate all those who serve, with 2,000 complimentary tickets provided to veterans, active military, Philadelphia police officers and firefighters, and their families. Additional tickets have been made available to select School District of Philadelphia students, Boy and Girl Scouts.

The big event is just days away and the celebrate, BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge sat down with the legendary duo to chat about all things Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, and so much more!

Their third musical, despite its Olivier award, never received the recognition of their LES MISERABLES and MISS SAIGON.

The Camp Broadway Kids, a musical theatre ensemble comprised of 60 theatre-loving kids, ages 12-16, will be featured at The New York Pops 33rd Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall on Monday, May 2, 2016.

Spend an unforgettable evening with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and vocalist Hugh Panaro, one of Broadway's most popular leading men, for a program featuring Broadway's greatest hits on Saturday, April 30th at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne.

The studio cast recording is now available for pre-order at http://www.broadwayrecords.com and Amazon, and will be available on iTunes and other retailers on April 22, 2016. Featuring an all-star cast headlined by Ashley Brown, Adam Jacobs, John Owen-Jones, Ramin Karimloo, Hugh Panaro and Aaron Tveit, this sweeping, epic album features twenty-one songs from the musical written by new composer Louis R. Bucalo. An American Victory is set in 1801, as America experiences brutal attacks on its ships by government sponsored pirates, whose extortion demands have grown to reach twenty percent of the entire government's budget. On April 8, 2016, at 8:00PM, The New York Pops took center stage at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage in The Music of John Williams: From Spielberg to Star Wars. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke lead the orchestra in a celebration of the work of legendary film composer John Williams, with a strong focus on his collaborations with Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg. The orchestra breathed life into some of cinema's most iconic scores, including selections from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Jurassic Park. The concert also included a look at Williams' seminal scoring of the Star Wars films, from their beginnings in the 1970s to today's The Force Awakens.
