Hudson's own Bindlestiff Family Cirkus continues its wintertime tradition of hosting a monthly cabaret in winter 2020, featuring a variety of circus, theater, comedy and musical entertainers, at Club Helsinki Hudson with four shows: its adult-oriented cabaret kicking off at 9pm on Saturday, January 18; continuing on Saturday, February 22; and again on Saturday, March 21; plus a Sunday matinee show on March 22 at 3pm geared to the entire family.
Matt Lorenz, the Northampton, Mass.-based indie-blues singer-songwriter who performs under the name The Suitcase Junket, and Carsie Blanton, whose erotically-charged songs find the musical link between vintage jazz and rap, perform at Club Helsinki Hudson on Saturday, December 28, at 9pm.

Once again the holiday-funk spectacular Holidelic - the brainchild of Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, producer, actor and dancer Everett Bradley - will usher in the holiday season at Club Helsinki Hudson, this year with a two-night stand on Saturday, December 21, at 9pm, and Sunday, December 22, at 8pm. Part dance party, part funk concert, part comedy show, the Yuletide-themed event features original holiday songs as well as loose, funk-infused adaptations of Tchaikovsky, 'Frosty the Snowman,' 'Little Drummer Boy' and the like.
Jesse Malin and Band bring their rootsy original rock to Club Helsinki Hudson on Saturday, December 7, at 9pm, capping the city's WinterWalk celebration. While Malin is a masterful songwriter in his own right, he has covered songs by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, the Clash, Neil Young, and the Replacements, which gives as good an idea as any of where to place him in the musical firmament.
A book launch party for intelligence expert and news commentator Malcolm Nance's brand-new book, 'The Plot to Betray America,' will take place at Club Helsinki Hudson on Sunday, November 10, at 7pm. Admission is free but a suggest donation of $20 will go towards supporting Warrior's Haven in Stockport, NY whose mission it is to assist in the education, care and recovery of all Veterans and their families.
Drag queen Sherry Vine brings her new cabaret show, 'Hollywood & Vine,' to Club Helsinki Hudson on Sunday, November 17, at 7pm. The show is a co-production with OutHudson.
Psychic medium Deborah Hanlon, who specializes in connecting people with loved ones who have passed on, will be at Club Helsinki Hudson on Thursday, November 7, at 7pm. Hanlon was named Favorite Psychic Medium in About.com's Reader's Choice Awards in 2012.
