Acting for Others has announced the return of its much-loved fundraising event, One Night Only, to the newly reopened Simpson’s on the Strand. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the special one-night-only celebration.

Following her show last year at Charring Cross Theatre and her summer season in New York and Provincetown, join Sister for a new fun filled show of singing, comedy, silliness, showtunes, some surprises and a few games.

Theatrical charity Acting for Others has announced that more than £110,000 was raised at their fifth annual West End Flea Market, held on Saturday 17 May at St Paul's Church in Covent Garden, making it their most successful event to date.

West End Charity Football Club has announced that more than £4,000 was raised at The Big West End Walk, in aid of Acting for Others. The walk, held on Sunday 8 September 2024, smashes last year's target, which totalled just over £3.5k raised.

The UK tour of Steel Magnolias is to end three months earlier than planned.

Steel Magnolias, the hilarious and heart-warming play based on a true story, which enjoyed huge global success in the hit 1989 film adaptation starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts, is coming to Theatre Royal Brighton from Tuesday 28 February to Saturday 4 March 2023 as part of an extensive UK and Ireland tour. 

As with so many famous films, there was first a play. Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias remains best known for being the 1989 weepie with a stellar cast featuring Dolly Parton, Sally Fields and Julia Roberts, but began life Off-Broadway over thirty years ago.
