What did our critic think of LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL at Robinson Center?

The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents Legally Blonde—The Musical on Friday, April 28 at 8pm; Saturday, April 29 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, April 30 at 2pm. Tickets range from $40-$98.  

The cast has been announced for the 2022-2023 national tour of Legally Blonde – The Musical. Hannah Bonnett will play America’s favorite blonde, Elle Woods.  

The internationally award-winning London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will celebrate the Hogwarts houses early next year with four special performances dedicated to each house. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw houses are the four living and learning communities for Hogwarts students, named after the wizarding school's four founders.

Five richly talented singers rock the stage in Arizona Broadway Theatre’s production of SHOUT! THE MOD MUSICAL, Phillip George and David Lowenstein’s 2004 tribute to the solid gold singles of the ‘60’s. Directed by Seth Tucker and featuring five fab singers, the show runs through April 18th.

With its irresistible blend of hip-swiveling hits, eye-popping fashions, and outrageous dance moves, SHOUT! The Mod Musical takes audiences back to the music, style, and freedom of the 1960s. Created by Phillip George and David Lowenstein, SHOUT! features terrific new arrangements of such classic tunes as To Sir with Love, Downtown, Son of a Preacher Man, and Goldfinger.

The review follows five groovy gals as they come of age during those glorious days that made England swing. Traveling in time from 1960 to 1970, SHOUT! chronicles the dawning liberation of women, from the rise of Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, and Cilla Black as independent women with major careers, to their American counterparts, redefining themselves in the face of changing attitudes about gender. With a shimmy and shake, the songs are tied together by hilarious sound bites from the period – from '60s advertisements to letters answered by an advice columnist who thinks that every problem can be solved with a “fetching new hairstyle and a new shade of lipstick.

NYC-based actor and A.M.D.A. alumni, Conor Stepnowski, assembled and directed over 120 actors and musicians to perform in a completely virtual medley of five songs from the Tony award winning musical Ragtime.

Oh my God you guys! Elle Woods is holding court at the Argyle Theatre in Babylon and the jury finds her absolutely adorable! Star Kirby Lunn leads an excellent acting troop with stellar voices in the stage adaptation of the hit movie 'Legally Blonde' now playing through August 25.

The Argyle Theatre continues its 2nd season with the award-winning musical Legally Blonde with music and lyrics by Nell Benjamin and Laurence O'Keefe, book by Heather Hach, based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. Performances began on July 11, 2019 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, August 25, 2019 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island). Opening Night is Saturday evening, July 13, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. Legally Blonde is presented through Music Theatre International.
