Writer and director Gerard Alessandrini, the comedy mastermind behind “Forbidden Broadway,” has long taken his own Broadway fandom one step further, though, creating iconic parodies of stars like Ethel Merman, Mary Martin, Carol Channing, Liza Minnelli, Yul Brynner, Patti LuPone, Chita Rivera, Mandy Patinkin, and Bernadette Peters and shows including “Hello, Dolly!” “The King & I,”  “Annie,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “The Lion King,” and “Wicked.”

Drury Lane Theatre has announced casting for Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, a heartwarming journey through Carole King's inspirational life story, where her music shines as a beacon of hope and personal growth, playing January 29 – March 23, 2025.

There are only five more performances left to see Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: Merrily We Stole A Song Off-Broadway at THEATER555. The Tony award-winning musical parody or Broadway shows and stars will be performed Friday, November 1st at 8PM, Saturday, November 2nd at 3PM and 8PM and Sunday, November 3rd at 3PM and will take its final bow on Sunday, November 3rd at 7:30 PM. 

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation's 2023-2024 Joe A. Callaway Awards will be awarded to Daniel Aukin for excellence in directing for Stereophonic and nicHi douglas for excellence in choreography for (pray). Learn more about the award!
