Amplified Theatre announces the plays and company for it's unique new writing event Six coming to The Bunker in April.

The Pittsburgh Public production of Simon Stephens's play is a tug of war, both between its two characters and between light comedy and weighty drama.

As previously announced, the acclaimed Second Act Series, which has presented an array of lesser-known musicals in concert, will celebrate the short-lived Charles Strouse and Alan Jay Lerner musical Dance A Little Closer at New York's Green Room 42 on Monday, April 16th at 7:00pm. The one-night-only concert reading will star Beautiful's Julia Knitel (Bye, Bye, Birdie), currently starring in A Letter to Harvey Milk as Cynthia Drama Desk Award-winner Ed Dixon (Georgie, Sunday In The Park With George, Les Miserables) in the role created by his lifelong friend and colleague George Rose. Joining them as Bebe is Cheryl Howard, returning to the role she originated in the original 1983 production, and Arbender Robinson (The Book of Mormon, Shuffle Along, In Transit) as Charles, the role originated by Brent Barrett.

The Everyman Company 2018 will present the stage adaptation of Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess as director Nick Bagnall invites audiences into a world of milk, ultraviolence and Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Theatre Three Artistic Director Jeffrey Schmidt has announced the 2018-19 season to be produced on the Norma Young Arena Stage. Theatre Three, Dallas's 57-year-old theatre-in-the-round, is located in the Quadrangle in the heart of uptown at 2800 Routh Street, Suite 168, Dallas, TX 75201.

The play Heisenberg by Simon Stephens opened at the Manhattan Theater Club on June 3, 2015 and in 2016 moved to Samuel J Friedman's Theater It was played in London in 2017. It opened the 26th of January at Scala Theatre in Stockholm and will play he until March 24th. I haven't seen the play in English so I can't compare it with its original. The Bunker's Summer 2018 season celebrates exciting work from both emerging and established companies. Florida Studio Theatre concludes its 44th Winter Mainstage season with the world premiere production of Honor Killing by Sarah Bierstock, a challenging and provocative new play that tackles timely themes like cultural division and women's issues. Twenty-four young chef-testants - 12 girls and 12 boys - have earned their aprons on MASTERCHEF JUNIOR and will move forward in the competition. Judges Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi and Joe Bastianich chose the Top 24 from among 40 talented junior home cooks, and one of these kids will be named America's next MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, taking home the MASTERCHEF JUNIOR trophy and a $100,000 grand prize.

Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release Van Morrison's new 39th studio album, You're Driving Me Crazy, a musical collaboration with Hammond organ virtuoso and trumpet master Joey DeFrancesco, on Friday, April 27.

Riverside Theatre's production of Gypsy, adds an additional performance. Gypsy runs March 6-25, 2018 on the Stark Stage and is sponsored by Bobbie Olsen with additional support from Riverside Theatre's Patron Producers' Group

Wandsworth Arts Fringe launched its 2018 programme today with a rich array of shows and events to suit all ages, interests and tastes. During its nine-year history, South London's premiere arts festival has gone from strength to strength. This year is the biggest yet with the festival playing host to over 170 shows in over 55 venues across the borough from May 4 to 20. With an eclectic range of arts and culture, every conceivable space both indoor and outdoor will buzz with activity and creative endeavour.

Broadway's newest intimate concert venue – has announced the solo debut of Mykal Kilgore, the celebrated vocalist from The Wiz Live! on NBC TV, Postmodern Jukebox, Motown on Broadway and more, for a two night concert engagement Friday, March 9 at 9:30 PM and Saturday, March 10 at 7:00 PM. These shows will feature original music from Mykal's upcoming album and covers of some of music's most heralded pop favorites with a Kilgore twist. After performances for “The View,” the Mayor of New York, and Brooklyn Nets, these live intimate shows powerfully return Kilgore to the concert stage.
