STAGES St. Louis has announced that their 2023 Season at The Ross Family Theatre at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center will include Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA; the classic whodunnit, CLUE; and the Grand Finale of the season, the rock ‘n roll musical smash, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. 

The actors in this production do a magnificent job conveying their characters stories with acting choices that are credible and believable. STAGES St. Louis’ production succeeds because the audience connects with each of the dancers portrayed including those who may not initially seem warm or likeable. By the end of the production, the audience is rooting for all the auditioning dancers to win the job and feels the joy and disappointment for each because their stories have induced a personal connection.

STAGES St. Louis has announced that current Associate Producer, Andrew Kuhlman, will succeed Jack Lane as Executive Producer beginning January 2023.

The John W. Engeman Theater has announced the cast and creative team for WHITE CHRISTMAS. Performances begin on Thursday, November 11, 2021, and run through Sunday, January 2, 2022.

STAGES St. Louis is proud to announce that Gayle Seay has accepted the role as the new Artistic Director beginning in 2022. Since 1996, Gayle has worked with STAGES St. Louis previously as an actor, choreographer, associate director and casting director. She shared that she is thrilled to make her second home in St. Louis and looks forward to continuing, diversifying, and growing the legacy that was left by Michael Hamilton.

If you want a high-energy show, Smokey Joe's Café is definitely for you. The musical revue, on Broadway from 1995-2000, highlights the music of songwriting team Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. The spectacle features their hit songs done back to back including 'Love Potion Number 9', 'Yakity Yak', 'Stand By Me' and 'Jailhouse Rock'. Believe me when I say that you will be dancing in your seat at some point.

STAGES St. Louis has announced the casting for their upcoming production of JERSEY BOYS that will play September 24 – October 24, 2021 at The Ross Family Theater in the new Kirkwood Performing Arts Center. The cast will be headlined by Christopher Kale Jones who is best known for playing Frankie Valli in the 1st National Tour of JERSEY BOYS. With a book written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, JERSEY BOYS takes an exhilarating journey into the cultural phenomenon that is Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. The show features 30 show stopping performances of the hits that took the group all the way to the top of the charts, including: “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”

The John W. Engeman Theater has announced the cast and creative team for their upcoming production of Smokey Joe's Cafe. Performances begin on Thursday, September 16 and run through Sunday, October 31, 2021.

The Visceral Voice podcast co-hosts Christine Schneider (manual therapist and owner of Lifelight Massage/The Visceral Voice), and Kimberly Doreen Burns (professional performer and owner of KDB Studio), release a new limited series entitled “The Voice Of…” starting Monday, December 7th.
