Performances officially began last night for New York City Center Encores! production of Into the Woods. Directed by Encores! Artistic Director Lear deBessonet with music direction by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman and choreography by Lorin Latarro, the special two week run of Into the Woods (through May 15) is dedicated to the memory of the legendary Stephen Sondheim. Today, drummer, vocalist, and composer Bryan Carter released his rendition of the Burt Bacharach & Carol Beyer Seger-penned composition “Making Love.” The song is the third single from Carter’s upcoming LP I Believe, due out June 2022 via La Reserve Records. “It was, and will always be, a very special song to me” Carter told Jazziz. Listen to “Making Love” by Bryan Carter.

New York City Center today announced additional casting for the third and final production of the 2022 Encores! season, Into the Woods (May 4 -15).

The Hermitage Artist Retreat, in collaboration with the Greenfield Foundation, will present the 14th annual Hermitage Greenfield Prize Celebration Weekend, April 8-10, 2022, culminating in the Hermitage Greenfield Prize Dinner on Sunday, April 10.
