Broadway World Cabaret welcomes a new correspondent who will focus, solely, on virtual content, and for his first outing Jarrod Cafaro got a doozy of a show.

In its ninth year, the Judy Garland themed benefit is the show everyone wants to see. For the second year in a row, everyone can.

The ninth annual “Night of A Thousand Judys” – the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Sayre – will be presented as a streaming online event on Thursday, June 24 at 8:00 PM Eastern.

Since 1978, West Bank Cafe has been one of the epicenters of New York City’s theatre community, and due to the pandemic, it is on the verge of permanently closing. With Broadway dark, tourism down, indoor dining closed, and no relief plan in sight, 2020 has created a plethora of financial problems for the beloved theater district institution.

The BWW Cabaret Awards honor exemplary performers and productions in New York from October 1st, 2019 to September 30th, 2020. Nominees in all categories excluding Special Event - Solo and Special Event - Multiple needed to have performed all or the majority of their shows (at least two of three shows) during this eligibility period.

This new category at the Broadway World Awards is one of a handful created to acknowledge the efforts made by the cabaret and club community to keep creativity flowing and fans connected.
