Palm Beach Symphony To Televise Family Concerts On PBS

South Florida PBS will be the first in the nation to televise Palm Beach Symphony's production of “Eudora's Fable: The Shoe Bird,” an adaptation of Pulitzer Prize winner Eudora Welty's only children's book, “The Shoe Bird.” The concert will be broadcast Sunday, September 11 at 3 p.m. on WPBT and 7 p.m. on WXEL in Palm Beach County. 

Palm Beach Symphony Ends School Year After Impacting Nearly 8K Students

Palm Beach Symphony reached 7,943 K-12 students during the 2021-2022 school year via innovative programs presented at no charge to the schools or students.  Players of the Palm Beach Symphony mentored young musicians enrolled in orchestra and band classes, and they also performed for student audiences school-wide in Pre-K through 12th grade across Palm Beach County.

Palm Beach Symphony will present Eudora's Fable: The Shoe Bird, an adaptation of Pulitzer Prize winner Eudora Welty's only children's book, The Shoe Bird, at the Eissey Campus Theater at Palm Beach State College on Sunday, October 24 at 3 p.m. 

John Lithgow Reads His Favorite Novel in a Special Recording Released By 92Y

John Lithgow is featured in a special, new audio recording released by 92Y: a reading of William Maxwell’s novel, So Long, See You Tomorrow. The novel is Lithgow’s personal favorite, and in the recording, commissioned by 92Y’s Unterberg Poetry Center, the Emmy Award-winner reads it in its entirety.

Laurel Little Theatre Presents WHY I LIVE AT THE P.O.

LLT will continue its “60th Sensational Season” with the Mississippi classic “WHY I LIVE AT THE P.O.” It runs over two weekends for six performances.  Evenings are February 26-27 & March 5-6 at 730pm, and on Sundays, February 28 and March 7, the matinees are at 2pm.

New Stage Presents LET IT SHINE: A VISIT WITH FANNIE LOU HAMER

New Stage Theatre will continue the Solo Show Series with a pre-recorded performance of Let It Shine! A Visit with Fannie Lou Hamer by Frank Kuhn, filmed at the theatre in February 2021 in front of a limited live audience. 

Laurel Little Theatre Announces 60th Season

The 60th season opener will be the Southern comedy “DOUBLEWIDE, TEXAS” running the weekends of January 22-24 and 29-31.  The production was originally scheduled for this past spring and was just about ready to start when COVID shut everything down.
