The Dolores Mission School is a grade school (K-8) committed to serving low-income families in Los Angeles. Together with the family, we strive to educate the whole child, academically, spiritually, physically, and morally, in a nurturing environment. The students and their families are part of a larger community with a rich cultural identity. The goal is to empower the children to rise out of poverty by becoming educated leaders in their community, 'women and men for and with others.'

On Friday, Nov 25th, President and Founder of The Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan, hosted an eclectic and elite list of Hollywood entertainers who gathered to decorate Christmas trees at The Hollywood Museum, on the second floor surrounded by the current 'Child Stars: Then and Now Exhibit. Over 20 ornaments were signed and decorated by personalities, and in some cases entire casts, to be auctioned on ebay at http://m.ebay.com/sch/aminorconsideration0/m.html?isRefine=true&_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_mwBanner=1 to raise funds for A Minor Consideration (AMC).

The 'Child Stars - Then and Now' exhibit will open to the public on Thurs, August 19th. Additionally, a two day exclusive child star themed autograph show on Sat, August 20th & Sun, August 21st, that involves what may be the largest collection of child stars ever in one place, for a good cause - A Minor Consideration.

For every pilot that eventually airs, there are three that never will see daylight, even though there are thousands of hopeful writers, directors and actors in our town that work around-the-clock during pilot season, hoping their work will be picked up and make them a lot of money as a hit TV series.

Almost 80 students from The Dolores Mission School gathered for a wonderful opportunity to visit Hollywood and tour the recently decorated Hollywood Museum, enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations by Dr Christmas (Bob Pranga), as well as hear inspirational stories with interesting messages from local politicians and personalities. More than 40 former and current actors and child stars will attend the First Annual 'Guiding Star Gala' event to benefit A Minor Consideration, including: Alison Arngrim, Paul Peterson, Erin Murphy, Keith Coogan, Jeremy Miller, Scott Schwartz, Katie Kurtzman, Sarah Monahan, Steven Wishnoff, Dr. Jeanne Russell, Liane Curtis, Samantha Stanton and many others.
