It has been announced that musical theatre star and television presenter Brenda Edwards (Chicago, We Will Rock You, The X Factor, Loose Women and Songs of Praise) will star as Motormouth Maybelle in the UK and Ireland tour of Hairspray. Comedy legend Norman Pace (ITV's The Hale and Pace Show) will play Wilbur Turnblad alongside West End leading man Alex Bourne (Annie, Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You) as Edna Turnblad.

Broadway is on its way back, and everything's as if we never said goodbye. Earlier this week, stars showed up at the Majestic Theatre for the first red carpet since the Broadway shutdown over 16 months ago. The occasion was the celebrate the premiere of theater director Sammi Cannold, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dori Berinstein, WYSIWYG Studios, CEO Kwan-Woo Park and Elizabeth Armstrong's new documentary film, The Show Must Go On. The new documentary film, The Show Must Go On, premiered last night in front of a live audience at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre, home of The Phantom of the Opera, the longest running show in Broadway history, to benefit and celebrate the work of The Actors Fund.
