Composer Brian Quijada Is Newest Commission For NUESTRO PLANETA

Hero Theatre announces Emmy award-nominated composer Brian Quijada as the newest commission for Nuestro Planeta, a ten-year multimedia new works initiative that focuses on educating Latiné film and theater audiences about environmental justice within the Americas. Quijada will create an original piece with music about the effects of the climate crisis, specifically in Central America.

PlayGround-LA Announces November 8 Monday Night PlayGround

Following the successful opening of Season 10 earlier this month, Los Angeles playwright incubator PlayGround-LA has recently announced the prompt for the next Monday Night PlayGround short play staged reading event. Thirty-six Los Angeles writers had just four-and-a-half days to generate their original scripts inspired by the prompt 'WHODUNNIT' as they vie for one of six slots in the second round of this year's Monday Night PlayGround staged reading series, presented live at The Broadwater Second Stage and simulcast online on November 8th at 7pm PT.
