THEATRE FOR ONE: HERE WE ARE Announces Extension

Christine Jones (Creator and Artistic Director of Theatre For One), Jenny Koons (Co-Artistic Director for Here We Are), and Mara Isaacs (Producer) announced today that Theatre for One: Here We Are is adding seven performances to accommodate overwhelming ticket demand with the final performance now scheduled for Thursday, October 29.

Heidi Duckler Dance Presents Unsettling Ramona Salon Series This Thursday

Los Angeles-based dance company Heidi Duckler Dance (HDD) presents a 3-part series of virtual programs amplifying the histories and contemporary experiences of Native Americans in California through art, music, conversation and a deep dive into the story of Ramona. The salons will take place on three consecutive Thursdays: August 13th, August 20th, and August 27th at 5pm PDT. 

Native Voices Appoints DeLanna Studi As New Leader

The Autry announced today the appointment of DeLanna Studi (Cherokee) as the new Co-Artistic Director of Native Voices. As the only Equity theatre company dedicated exclusively to developing and producing new work by Native American artists, Studi's hiring furthers the theatre company's commitment to developing the next generation of indigenous writers, directors, producers, and performers. 

CSA To Hold Native American & Indigenous Actors Town Hall Conversation

Casting Society of America, as part of its ongoing 'Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in Casting Initiative,' will sponsor a Town Hall conversation for Native American and Indigenous Actors. The Initiative is a series of conversations and classes designed to effect concrete change in how actors in historically underrepresented communities are afforded access to job opportunities.

Hope-aholics Initiative Sends Over 2,200 Students to GLORIA: A LIFE

Over 2,200 students have seen GLORIA: A Life, the groundbreaking play about activist and icon Gloria Steinem, thanks to the generosity of Hope-aholics. Named for Steinem, who coined the phrase, the Hope-aholics initiative allows donors to underwrite student tickets so that the next generation of activists can take inspiration from her story. Launched in October 2018, the program has raised over $66,000 in donations in under five months.

Patricia Kalember To Play Gloria Steinem In GLORIA: A LIFE

Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart, Indecent) announced today that Patricia Kalember ("Power," "Sisters," "thirtysomething") will put on the aviator glasses of iconic activist Gloria Steinem in GLORIA: A Life beginning Today, January 29. Christine Lahti will play her final performance as Gloria on January 27.

GLORIA: A LIFE Reschedules January 19 Matinee To Join The Women's March

Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart, Indecent) announced today that GLORIA: A Life has rescheduled its Saturday, January 19 matinee performance in order for the company to join the Women's March on NYC. A performance has been added on Sunday, January 20 at 7pm. The production will perform as scheduled at 8pm on Saturday, January 19.
