Theatre Arlington Proudly Announces 47th Season

Theatre Arlington's 47th season has something for everyone! Executive Producer, Steven D. Morris, is thrilled to announce the line-up for the 2019-2020 season. There will be great musical comedies, a fun new holiday show, wonderful family-friendly children's programming and classic plays that need to be seen again. This season Theatre Arlington will continue to work hard to improve the patron's experience and the quality of every production. The Theatre is excited to announce that they will be hiring more professional Equity actors in each production as well as skilled designers and talented live musicians. That's not all Morris is happy to announce - this season will be the inaugural year for a new Cabaret Series which will bring the metroplex's best singers and musicians to Theatre Arlington to perform in an intimate environment.  If it has been awhile since you've visited downtown Arlington, now is the time to find your way and come home to Theatre Arlington!

RIPCORD Heads to Keegan Theatre This June

The Keegan Theatre presents David Lindsay-Abaire's heartwarming and hilarious comedy RIPCORD, making its regional premiere on June 15, 2019 at The Andrew Keegan Theatre in Washington, DC, with the press opening slated for June 18.

MTC's CONTINUITY Opens Tomorrow

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Continuity, the new play by Lortel and Drama Desk Award nominee Bess Wohl (Small Mouth Sounds, American Hero) and directed by Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), opens tomorrow night at The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center (131 W. 55th Street).

Queens Theatre To Present Comedy RELIC This May

The Queens Theatre may cause a stir when it premieres Relic, or, I Was Bubbie's Favorite by Joel Feinman (as told to Lojo Simon), an outrageous new comedy by playwright Lojo Simon and directed by Will Pomerantz, that explores the cult of celebrity, religion and idolatry in modern times. The play, set in the Queens neighborhood of Rego Park, revolves around an out-of-work actor who finds what purports to be the world's greatest relic in his grandmother's attic, offering him the fame and fortune he always sought. He discovers, however, that it may not be all he wants! Performances will be held Friday, May 10th through Sunday, May 19th (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays).

SHREK Is Coming To Hanover, PA!

PATABS (Pennsylvania Theatrical Arts by Brittany Stevens) will be presenting 'SHREK, THE MUSICAL' at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, PA this May. This is the second time in the last 5 years that the performing arts studio will be presenting this 'bigger than life' musical. When asked 'why do the show again', director of both the musical and the studio, Stevens said that she 'was excited to have this opportunity to bring these bigger than life characters to the stage at the Eichelberger'.
