Playhouse Square announced the 2026-27 Broadway in Akron season, featuring BEETLEJUICE, THE BODYGUARD, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE, and THE WIZ at E.J. Thomas Hall. Season packages range from $95 to $380.

STEREOPHONIC, which is now on stage at the Connor Palace, is a 4-act, 3-hour production, was written by American playwright David Adjmi, with music composed by Will Butler.  

The Baldwin Wallace University Music Theatre will present the world premiere of the new musical 'Star Machine' in both New York City and Cleveland as part of a long-running spring partnership with Playhouse Square.

Disney Theatrical Group and Playhouse Square will offer a sensory-friendly performance of Disney’s The Lion King in the KeyBank State Theatre at Playhouse Square.

Playhouse Square has revealed the four shows that will make up the 2025-2026 Broadway in Akron series, including The Book of Mormon and more.

Yann Martel is noted for his ability to write tales filled with adventure, survival and spirituality.  His novel, LIFE OF PI, sold more than 15 million copies and won numerous awards. The novel has been translated into a film and now a stage play by Lolita Chakrabarti.  It is on stage at the Connor Palace Theatre, as part of the Key Bank Broadway Series.

SOME LIKE IT HOT, the movie was released without approval from the Motion Picture Production Code, became a commercial hit, was nominated for six Academy Awards and was the major cause of the end of the restrictive freedoms for the entire film industry.

The Filigree Theatre, an independent theatre company based in Austin, TX led by women, returns to Los Angeles to present a Limited Run of the West Coast Premiere of Lila Rose Kaplan's critically acclaimed play, 100 PLANES, as a Guest Production at the Sacred Fools Theater Company at the Broadwater, 1076 Lillian Way, Los Angeles, CA 90038, July 18 - August 4, 2019, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m.

The Filigree Theatre, Austin's independent women-led theatre company, has announced its cast for the World Premiere of 100 PLANES, written by Lila Rose Kaplan. Starring Alani Rose Chock (Kay McClure), Brittany Flurry (Monique DuPont), Karen Harrison (Anne Clarkson) and Brennan Patrick (David Greene), directed by Elizabeth V. Newman and produced by Stephanie Moore, the production will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm from April 4-13, 2019 at The Mastrogeorge Theatre (130 Pedernales St).
