The Filigree Theatre Presents 100 PLANES

The Filigree Theatre, Austin's independent women-led theatre company, has announced its cast for the World Premiere of 100 PLANES, written by Lila Rose Kaplan. Starring Alani Rose Chock (Kay McClure), Brittany Flurry (Monique DuPont), Karen Harrison (Anne Clarkson) and Brennan Patrick (David Greene), directed by Elizabeth V. Newman and produced by Stephanie Moore, the production will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm from April 4-13, 2019 at The Mastrogeorge Theatre (130 Pedernales St).

The year is 1997 and hotshot young pilot Lieutenant Kay McClure dreams of being the first to fly a new hybrid fighter jet. She begs the legendary Major Anne Clarkson to train her. Major Clarkson pushes Kay impossibly hard despite the concerns of Monique, Major Clarkson's lover. 100 PLANES is a bittersweet comic drama that follows three women as ambition, love, and passion collide on a US Air Force Base in Germany.

The spring production of 100 PLANES marks the sixth production for The Filigree Theatre, closing out the company's second season slate that saw much-acclaimed productions of August Strindberg's MISS JULIE and the Austin premiere of Sarah Treem's WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID. The Filigree Theatre will commence its third season this Fall.

All productions in Filigree's 2018-19 slate center around the theme "At The Crossroads," with each play examining how, at crucial moments in our lives, we, as humans, find ourselves at the brink of change, faced with life and death decisions, confronted with a point of no return.

Tickets for 100 PLANES are now available online at or in-person at the Mastrogeorge Box Office for $30. All performances play at The Mastrogeorge Theatre (130 Pedernales St.).
