Perfect Crime, the longest running play in NYC history, will celebrate its 35th anniversary off-Broadway on Monday, April 18th in the Anne Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center.

Performances of Off-Broadway's PERFECT CRIME and THE OFFICE: A MUSICAL PARODY have come to an immediate halt due to a real-life perfect crime: theft of the theater's copper pipes, which supply water and heat to the entire Theater Center (located at 210 West 50th Street) in which both shows perform.

Brooklyn Runaways has announced dates for Heroine: A Cabaret with Courtney Glass. Glass, who recently starred in Sweeney Todd with Anthony Warlow and the sold out run of Sunday in the Park with George, will present two performances of her debut cabaret October 2-3, 2019 at Alex Theatre in St. Kilda.

Executive-Producer Armand Hyatt today announced that two Emmy-nominated and beloved soap stars are joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME this month, celebrating the record-breaking murder mystery as it enters its historic 33rd year of performances. Both Robert Newman and Grant Aleksander of GUIDING LIGHT fame will be taking on the role of Detective James Ascher in the classic whodunit that continues its run in the Anne L. As a sequel to producing successfully Aaron Posner's Stupid F****ing Bird, South Portland's Mad Horse Theatre company has mounted Posner's take on Chekov's Uncle Vanya, Life Sucks. Filled with colorful characters and some truly witty dialogue, Posner's new play does a fine job of bringing the Russian dramatist's story to life for a contemporary audience. One does not need to know the original to enjoy Life Sucks, but if one is a Chekov fan, the humor, allusions, and twists are all the more delicious and make one realize how truly modern Checkov was.
