Sally Olson, starring as Karen Carpenter, and Ned Mills starring as Richard Carpenter, celebrated one year of their residency, Carpenters Legacy, at the Modern Showrooms at Alexis Park Resort with shows Sunday to Thursday and the big celebration July 27.

The Education program at Flat Rock Playhouse has announced its new name, Playhouse Jr.!  Education at Flat Rock Playhouse has had many names over the past 40+ years. They have been called Flat Rock Children's Theatre, Theatre for Young People (TYP), YouTheatre, and Studio 52.

Flat Rock Playhouse has announced their education program, Studio 52, will be hosting in-person and virtual summer camps for Rising 1st - 12th Grade artists. Studio 52 Summer Camps offer training in Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Improv with returning instructors Tania Battista, Lisa K. Bryant, Matthew Glover, Anna Kimmell, and Bill Muñoz.

Flat Rock Playhouse’s Studio 52 is continuing their virtual workshop series with Virtual Audition Workshop with Adam Kaplan on Saturday, April 17 from 11 AM to 1 PM EST. The workshop is recommended for ages 12 - 18, and it is offered for a suggested donation of $25.

Dive into the world of theatre this spring at Studio 52 with a four-week mini-mester of Virtual Theatre Classes for artists ages 5- Adult! Studio 52 offers a variety of classes led by professional and supportive instructors and the best-possible learning environment during times of social distancing.

The holiday season, with the glow of candles and lights, gathering of families, and sense of spirit and cheer, is not always as picture perfect as the books and movies describe. Sometimes the family dog eats the apple pie, the siblings squabble and knock mom's favorite ornament off the tree, and the Baby Jesus in the church Christmas Pageant ironically screams through the entire song, Silent Night.
