Life Jacket Theatre Company has announced that C. Quintana (CQ) is the inaugural recipient of the 2023-2024 commission created exclusively for Trans+ playwrights, which includes gender non-conforming, gender-expansive, and nonbinary individuals.

Normal Ave has announced the lineup for the return of NAPSeries play festival. The festival will feature plays and musicals from James Anthony Tyler, Jacqueline Bircher, Mike Nappi, Sam Durant Hunter, and Max Sangerman. The festival will run for three days at unique community locations across the boroughs from October 20-22, 2023.

This summer, Midnight Theatre presents 'KTP's Juke Joint Jubilee,' a monthly concert series featuring the sultry soul and blues inspired vocals of the magnetic Kyle Taylor Parker.  Joining this month’s lineup of special guests are Kayla Davion (Tina, white girl in Danger) and Danny Marin (Drunk Musicals).

Today marks the debut of RISE (Representation, Inclusion, & Support for Employment) Theatre, along with the launch of their new tool: The RISE Theatre Directory, a FREE national online directory promoting the visibility of individuals who work backstage, behind-the-scenes, and in support of theatre making.

Allison Griffith (Burning Man: the musical) is back at The Green Room 42 and is feeling recklessly honest.  It's been 5 years since her last solo show, and when compared to the basic musical theatre bitch she was last time, things are looking wildly different and the messy weirdo has crafted some chaos this go around.

Danny Marin (Drunk Musicals) is back at The Green Room 42 and is in deep mourning. On January 24, 2023, Brendon Urie announced Panic! At The Disco is over! The group's last remaining original member is turning attention toward family life and, while we respect his wishes, we hate that for us.

Normal Ave has announced the NAPSeries, a festival of new plays, set to take place September 5-17, 2023. The festival will feature four new plays, three parties, and an array of artists, all designed to support the playwrights in their creative journey. This will be the first time Normal Ave includes musicals.

Still fresh off of his outstanding solo cabaret debut with 'For the Girls', Kendall Morgan returns to The Green Room 42  next month on January 8 at 7 pm with 'Theater Kids: UNATTENDED.' 

As part of its ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, The Shubert Organization has established the Artistic Circle, an initiative to bring more BIPOC producers into the commercial American theatre landscape.
