This fall, Paul J. Botelho, Brice Brown, Douglas Dunn, and Steve Gibson will present BODY / SHADOW, a new experimental opera featuring 16 dancers. Performances are Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28, at 8pm, at Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South (between Thompson and Sullivan Streets), in Manhattan.

Summer Stock Austin has revealed the casts for its 2023 Summer season.

Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae confirms her years-in-the-making Black Rainbows project. Inspired by the objects and artworks collected by Theaster Gates at the Stony Island Arts Bank in Chicago, the work includes a collection of songs, a book Refraction/Reflection of the Arts Bank photographed by Koto Bolofo.

The release sits somewhere between an EP and a mini-album and marks the start of a new chapter in Drab Majesty's legacy. These sessions were then refined or recreated, and later elevated further with key collaborations by Rachel Goswell (Slowdive), Justin Meldal-Johnson (Beck, M83, Air), and Ben Greenberg (Uniform, Circular Ruin Studio). 

In all, though, Ricky Asch’s rendition of LIKE A STAR is a smooth, sultry dance take on Corinne BR’s original and well worth having in your streams and headphones
