Apple TV+ Announces THE BUCCANEERS Series Inspired by Edith Wharton's Novel

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for Nilo Cruz's 2003 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna in the Tropics, on the Boyd-Quinson Stage July 16-30, and the world premiere of ABCD by May Treuhaft-Ali, on the St. Germain Stage July 1-23.

Anna in the Tropics, the second play of the 2022 Mainstage Season, is now in rehearsal at Bay Street Theater. A Noise Within (ANW), California’s acclaimed classic repertory theatre company, announces the fifth production of its 30th anniversary season, Nilo Cruz’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Anna in the Tropics, directed by ANW’s Director of Cultural Programming Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx (he/him).  The play runs now through April 17, 2022, with a Sunday Rush performance on April 10 at 7:00 p.m. All remaining tickets for the Sunday evening performance are $25. Tickets are available online now for the performance with the code SUNDAYRUSH while selecting seats OR mention “SUNDAY RUSH” after 2 p.m. on the day of the performance at the box office window.

18 years after his successful musical revue Zapping at the Théâtre du Gymnase before transferring to the Olympia and the Trianon, Bruno Agati is back with another off the wall production, this time focusing on gender ambiguity and digging more deeply into the inner psyche of its writer-director-choreographer. Always oscillating between first and second degrees of humor, whereas Zapping stayed exclusively on the latter, Mixity is essentially more of a drag show than a dance show even if every act is thoroughly choreographed, exploring the diversity of drag, man to woman, woman to man, and in between!
