Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer), in association with Kierstead Productions (Jim Kierstead) and Chalant Productions (Lisa Reich), presented a one-night only presentation of The Post-Roe Monologues, a play with music by Mimi Zieman, with music direction by Saul Nache and directed by Maria Torres on Monday, November 6 at 7pm at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Two invite-only industry readings were held for The Radium Girls: A Jaw-Dropping New Musical on October 30th, 2023 at 11:30am and 3:30pm. The readings were directed by Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur at New 42 Studios.

Producer Eric Krebs and Michael Roberts will present industry presentations of “The Days Beyond Today,” a new musical with book, music, and lyrics by Michael Roberts (Golf: The Musical, Goldstein), directed by Mr. Krebs.

Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen announced the unexpected closing of the show due to a COVID outbreak within the company.

The show announced a five-week extension of the critically-acclaimed hit Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn.

Sonia Manzano, who portrayed ‘Maria’ on “Sesame Street” from 1971-2015 attended the matinee performance yesterday (Sunday, 5/22) of ROMEO & BERNADETTE.  She and Mark Saltzman, the book & lyric writer of the show, worked together on the show for many years.

The Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, and starring the original cast,  officially opened on Monday, May 16 at Theater 555 (555 West 42nd Street - between 10th and 11th Avenues).

Performances of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona began May 3, 2022, for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2022, at 3:00PM. Opening Night is TONIGHT, Monday, May 16, 2022, at 7:00PM.

The York Theatre Company, in association with Jim Kierstead, Executive Producer, will present a presentation of the new musical Pants! The Jimmy Pants Musical with music and lyrics by Joseph Church (York’s Rothschild and Sons, The Lion King, The Who's Tommy) and book and lyrics by Jeff Bienstock (Legendale).

The star crossed lovers – Romeo (Nikita Burshteyn) and Bernadette (Anna Kostakis) were reunited this week for the first time in 2 years when they met with the show’s director/choreographer Justin Ross Cohen for a photo shoot in anticipation of the show’s return.  Check out the fun video!
