THE GREAT SOCIETY To Join Broadway Bridges, Must Close November 30

Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan's THE GREAT SOCIETY, starring Brian Cox (a?oeSuccessiona??) as LBJ, directed by Bill Rauch, will play its final performance, as scheduled, on Saturday, November 30 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th St) at Lincoln Center. At the time of closing, The Great Society will have played 26 preview performances and 72 regular performances.

12th Annual Jimmy Awards Will Celebrate on June 29, 2020

The Broadway League announces that the 12th annual Jimmy Awards will take place on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan. The ceremony will feature 92 nominees from 46 regional awards programs around the US, making it the biggest Jimmy Awards in history.

Broadway Theatres to Dim Lights for Arthur 'Artie' Gaffin 9/18

To commemorate his life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the American Airlines, Marquis, New Amsterdam, St. James, and Broadhurst Theatres in New York for one minute on Wednesday, September 18 at exactly 7:45pm.

The Commercial Theater Institute Announces 2019-2020 Season

The Broadway League has just announced that the 11th annual Jimmy Awards® ceremony will be streamed live in its entirety. Fans can watch the ceremony on The Jimmy Awards Facebook and YouTube pages on Monday, June 24th at 7:30PM ET. More details including links to the live events will be posted to JimmyAwards.com/Live prior to the event. The Jimmy Awards will take place at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan, and will be hosted by Tony Award Winner® Ben Platt.

GalaPro Returns As Official Accessibility Provider For The 2019 Tony Awards

GalaPro, developer of automated accessibility and translation technology for live shows, announced today that they will return as the official accessibility provider for the 73rd Annual Tony Awards Ceremony to be held in Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 9, 2019. Jerry Award Winners Announced; Two Students From Whitewater And Milwaukee Advance To NYC

Overture Center for the Arts announced today that two Jerry Award 'Outstanding Leading Performance' recipients performed and were selected to advance to The Jimmy Awards, also known as the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (NHSMTA), held in New York City. 2018/2019 Is The Best Attended And Highest Grossing Season In Broadway History

The Broadway League has released end-of-season statistics for the 2018 - 2019 season, which began May 28, 2018 and ended May 26, 2019.  For the 2018 - 2019 season, total attendance reached 14,768,254 and Broadway shows yielded $1,829,312,140 in grosses, making it the best attended and highest grossing season in Broadway recorded history. All new and continuing productions ran a record total of 1,737 playing weeks.
