Written nearly 230 years ago, but never performed in New York City, THE WITLINGS, Frances Burney's scathingly funny satire of the foibles of 'The Enlightened,' will finally have its long overdue New York Premiere when Magis Theatre Company presents its production of THE WITLINGS at the West End Theatre (263 West End Avenue at 86th Street in Manhattan) for a limited engagement run from May 16 through June 1, 2008.
Charles Dance (Gosford Park, The Jewel in the Crown) stars as C.S. Lewis, Shadowlands, an intensely moving play which charts the extraordinary true love story between Lewis and Joy Gresham, played by award-winning actress Janie Dee (RSC, National Theatre). Remaining performances are through December 15.
Fellowship of the Performing Arts Theater Company announces the return engagement of C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Clements October 18 - December 9 with opening night set for November 8.
