The Majestic Academy of dramatic arts will present The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe on May 19 - 21! Majestic's Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe stars children and teens of The Majestic Academy of Dramatic Arts under the Direction of Becky Rush.

Metropolitan Playhouse presents new solo-performances drawn from oral histories of East Village residents May 18 - June 4, 2023.  Directed by Sidney Fortner and Alex Roe, performances  will be in-person at the Playhouse home at 220A E 4th Street.

Florida Repertory Theatre's 25th anniversary season continues with “Freud's Last Session” by Mark St. Germain. The intimate ArtStage Studio Theatre transforms into Dr. Sigmund Freud's study and hosts a fictional meeting between the founder of psychoanalysis and his guest, “Chronicles of Narnia” author C. S. Lewis. The play explores the minds, hearts, and souls of two brilliant men as they clash over their views of love, sex, war, religion, and the meaning of life.

Johanna Telander is a New York-based Finnish-American creator/artist. As a teen, she collaborated with major labels in Finland, signing a record deal with Universal Music. She holds a BA in Music in Jazz from Capital University, Columbus, OH, and a performance degree in Musical Theatre from AMDA in NYC.

This interactive family-friendly, music-filled show celebrates everything that makes Hanukkah and Christmas in Sarasota special. Since Deck the Halls was first produced in 2016, the show has become a holiday tradition for many families here on the Suncoast.

Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode will star in the film adaptation of Mark St. Germain's Freud’s Last Session. Sony has pre-bought the rights to the upcoming film, which is slated to be directed by Matt Brown. The play features a conversation between Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis, as they discuss questions of faith, love, sex and existence itself.

Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella opens at the Grant Fine Arts Center this week, bringing back Lion Heart Productions’ first large-cast musical since Mamma Mia! In 2019.  The show is running 2 weekends, through November 12th, and is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein's most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It's Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago”.   BroadwayWorld Michigan had a chance to speak with Director Ron Jenkins and one of the show's stars, Avery Mills playing Ella, in this classic and delightful show.
