Musicians On Call (MOC), a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, hosted the20th Anniversary Kickoff Celebration Presented by Pepsi at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this pastFriday night (May 31), raising $330,000, the most funds raised at a MOC event in Nashville to date. This exclusive concert celebrated the organization's 20th anniversary of delivering the healing power of music and featured a live performance by headlinerBlake Shelton and Cale Dodds.

Playwright Grace McLeod's first professionally produced play HERLAND will have its last third of its three-part Rolling World Premiere at the Greenway Court (beginning yesterday May 30, 2019). We had the chance to ask Grace about the incredible year-long ride she's taken with HERLAND to arrive at the Los Angeles culmination.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, announces three new Rolling World Premiere productions opening this week. Grace McLeod's Herland concludes its Roll at Greenway Court in Los Angeles, CA (May 31 - June 23;); meanwhile, Ready Steady Yeti Go by David Jacobi also wraps up its Roll in California at Venice's Rogue Machine Theatre (June 1 - July 29). Across the country in Atlanta, GA, Jump by Charly Evon Simpson continues its Roll at Actor's Express (June 1 - June 23).

Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, Superfly, the founders of Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands co-producer Another Planet Entertainment, today announced the annual Up Next showcase at Comedy Central Presents Clusterfest. The weekend will highlight 18 comedians with two separate and distinct stand-up showcases taking place on Friday, June 21 and 22 and a variety showcase on Saturday, June 22. All shows will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium  in the Larkin room.

For his starring role in Netflix's groundbreaking first original series, Lilyhammer, actor/musician Steven Van Zandt explored uncharted waters as a New York mobster who flees to Norway under the witness protection program. SiriusXM announced today that 9-time Grammy Award winner and Academy Award winner Lady Gaga will perform at Harlem's world famous Apollo Theater for a special invitation-only concert for SiriusXM subscribers and Pandora listeners on Monday, June 24. The special performance will celebrate SiriusXM and Pandora coming together as one company. Howard Stern made the announcement today during the live broadcast of The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM.

San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English; Producing Director Susi Damilano) announced today the three plays that will constitute its 2019-20 Sandbox Series. The series, dedicated to nurturing new works, is entering its 11th year.

The annual Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender presented by Muddy Roots Music will take place from Thursday, May 23rd until Sunday, May 26th in Nashville, Tennessee. The June 2019 So-fi festival announces that it will be presenting works at The Clemente's Los Kabayitos and Flamboyan Theaters (107 Suffolk St. between Rivington & Delancey) and Westbeth (463 West Street between Bethune and West 12th St) June 6th-23rd 2019.

Variety reports that Bruce Springsteen's long-awaited album “Western Stars” will be released on June 14. Its first single, “Hello Sunshine,” will be released just after midnight tonight.
