Watching Tony's every year, I always look forward to the performances and seeing what each show decides to showcase. In 2024, I was captivated by the performance of 'The Outsiders' and looked forward to seeing it live. What was that moment? I'll share more on that later, but after seeing the show in New York last spring, I am thrilled that Des Moines audiences will have the opportunity to see 'The Outsiders' through Sunday as part of the Willis Broadway Series at Des Moines Performing Arts.

The second most recent winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical is now the most recent one to tour at the Peace Center. The Outsiders, based on the English class classic by S.E. Hinton—and its attending ‘80s movie adaptation by Francis Ford Coppola—has been brought to engaging theatrical life by Adam Rapp, Justin Levine, and folk duo Jamestown Revival.

The Book of Mormon, a nine-time Tony Award-winning musical, will return to The Granada Theatre. The show offers a humorous look at the journeys of two missionaries.

The Book of Mormon will return to San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts for an extremely limited engagement. The Broadway production is directed by Parker and  two-time Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, and choreographed by Nicholaw.

THE BOOK OF MORMON will return to Shea’s Buffalo Theatre for a limited engagement in 2026. The production is part of the Gallagher Encore Specials presented by Shea’s Performing Arts Center.

The Book of Mormon on Broadway is turning 15 this year, and the nine-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical will celebrate the occasion with a few surprises.

Single tickets for the Tony Award winning Best Musical, The Outsiders, based on the seminal novel by S.E. Hinton and Francis Ford Coppola's landmark motion picture, are now on sale for its Playhouse Square engagement.

The Outsiders, which won four Tony Awards in 2024 (including Best Musical), has offically recouped its Broadway investment, becoming the first new musical to do so since & Juliet, which opened in 2022. The Broadway production recouped its $22 million capitalization costs as of the week ending December 28, 2025.

The National Tour of The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will play a strictly limited one-week engagement from February 17 through February 22 at the Harris Center in Folsom.

The Book of Mormon is kicking off its 15th year on Broadway with specially priced $15 digital lottery tickets to celebrate the show marking a milestone 15 years on Broadway. 

The year, 1967, the place, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and its central narrative came from the scrawlings of a 16-year-old named Susan Eloise Hinton, and the rest as we know it is solidified into literary history. History so much, that it has sparked a re-birth with a new generation and with the new stage adaptation of Hinton’s subliminal novel, a pandemonium and cultural phenomenon was created.

The Book of Mormon is now the tenth-longest running show on Broadway. The musical's 5,462nd performance, taking place over the weekend, surpassed the run of the original production of Beauty and the Beast.

The Outsiders will tour to Grand Rapids as part of its national engagement at DeVos Performance Hall. The Tony Award–winning musical is based on the novel by S.E. Hinton.

Based on S. E. Hinton’s 1967 novel of the same name as well as Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 film adaptation. The Outsiders is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 1960s. The story follows Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their Greaser family of ‘outsiders’ as they battle with their affluent rivals, the Socs. Together, the Greasers fight for survival and a quest for purpose in a world that doesn't accept them.
