Broadway Records announced today the release of the original Off-Broadway cast recording of Einstein's Dreams. Written by Joanne Sydney Lessner (book and lyrics) and Joshua Rosenblum (music and lyrics), the musical ran Off-Broadway last winter to much acclaim and received four Drama Desk nominations, including Outstanding Music and Lyrics.

New Writers At 54! is an ongoing series at Feinstein's/54 Below showcasing exciting work by today's hottest emerging voices. This season's concerts are curated by Assistant Programming Director Alexa Spiegel. The cast and creative team of EINSTEIN'S DREAMS celebrated the opening with friends and family at Sarabeth's on Central Park South on Wednesday, November 20 hosted by EINSTEIN'S DREAMS producer Prospect Theater Company.

The NYC premiere of Einstein's Dreams is now on stage at 59E59 Theaters through December 14. This intriguing, exciting new musical is a must-see.

The Rev Theatre Company has brought a new Broadway-bound musical to the Finger Lakes and specifically, Auburn's Merry – Go – Round Playhouse. Loch Ness, A New Musical features spellbinding performances, breathtaking artistry, and moving music under the superb direction of Marshall Pailet. The beauty, the detail, and unique presentation makes this like no other musical; it is truly something special.

59E59 Theaters will present the NYC premiere of EINSTEIN'S DREAMS book and lyrics by Joanne Sydney Lessner, music and lyrics by Joshua Rosenblum, directed by Cara Reichel, and based on the novel by Alan Lightman. Milton Granger is the music director; the movement director/associate director is Dax Valdes.

Opening on September 28th at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) is Loch Ness, a New Musical. The show runs through October 13th at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.

Steele Spring Stage Rights has acquired the theatrical performance rights to the original Off-Broadway musical comedy Neurosis, with a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards. 

Last week I went to the Drama Desk Award Nominations Reception at Green Room 42, here in NYC.  This is one of the last few events where you get to meet some of the newest folks doing theater OFF Broadway and On Broadway.  You also get a chance to chat to some of the actors who are nominated for this year's Tony Awards, as well.

The 2019 Chita Rivera Awards were presented last night, May 19, 2019 at 7:30pm at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out the photos below!
