BREAKING THE BINARY THEATRE FESTIVAL Announces Full Cast & Creative Team

Founding Artistic Director George Strus has announced the complete cast and additional creative team members for the inaugural Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival. Curated by Strus, Dominique Rider and Josephine Kearns, Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival will feature seven evenings of work created and developed by TNB2S+ theatermakers.

Laura Linney to Star in MTC's World Premiere of SUMMER, 1976 in Spring 2023

Manhattan Theatre Club will present the world premiere of Summer, 1976 written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn (Proof, The Columnist), starring Tony Award® & Academy Award® nominee Laura Linney (My Name is Lucy Barton, “Ozark”) and directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan (Proof, Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes).

HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE Filmed by The Theatre on Film and Tape Archive of New York Public Library

Manhattan Theatre Club’s Broadway premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning How I Learned to Drive was filmed last week by the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive of New York Public Library. The production is now in its final week of performances and will end its extended run on Sunday, June 12 at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Manhattan Theatre Club held its annual Spring Gala on Monday, May 23 at Cipriani 42nd Street honoring Bobbie Olsen, a former member of Manhattan Theatre Club's Board of Directors. The Gala featured performances by the casts of many of the most acclaimed musicals on Broadway including Company, Girl From the North Country, MJ, Mrs. Doubtfire, Paradise Square, Six, Tina and more.

On Friday, May 20, 2022, one hour before the Drama League Awards, Board President Bonnie Comley, Kirk Iwanowski, Mary Jain, and the Board Hosted a VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards right next to the Ziegfeld Ballroom. While the Drama League Distinguished Performance nominees were lining up for the dais, a cocktail party was in full swing in the adjacent ballroom.

Into The Woods, Hercules, Miss You Like Hell), who will present the esteemed awards.
