With Marina Carr’s Girl on an Altar opening later this month, Artistic Director of Kiln Theatre Indhu Rubasingham today announces a major revival of Moira Buffini’s critically acclaimed Handbagged. Reprising their roles are Marion Bailey as ‘Q’, an Older Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Fahy as ‘T’, an Older Margaret Thatcher, with further cast to be announced shortly.

The epic battle between good and evil takes to the stage in the closing show of Town's 102nd season, Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical. Based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale, audiences will be enchanted by Frank Wildhorn's and Leslie Bricusse's score and mesmerized by the man that is both Dr. Henry Jekyll and Mr. Edward Hyde. Peacock announced today three upcoming original films scheduled to premiere on the service in 2023: SHOOTING STARS, PRAISE THIS, and THE KILLER. Each film is part of the previously announced collaboration with Universal Pictures to produce a number of films made exclusively for Peacock.

As a run of sold-out performances concludes this Saturday, Birmingham Rep have announced that their hit production of GrimeBoy will tour to twelve community venues around the West Midlands thanks to funding from the Sir Barry Jackson Trust.

The season will open with Bruce Norris’ Tony, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize-winning “Clybourne Park,” directed by Kurt Naebig (Sept. 8 – Oct. 9).  It will be followed by Alan Ayckbourn’s feisty holiday comedy, “Season’s Greetings,” directed by Connie Canaday Howard (Nov. 17 – Dec. 18). With a nod to the Cleve Carney Museum of Art/MAC summer 2023 exhibition “Warhol,” BTE will complete the season with Vince Melocchi’s fictional play “Andy Warhol’s Tomato” directed by Steve Scott (Feb. 2 – March 5).

The Van Nuys/ Reseda Elks Lodge in Los Angeles presented a charity screening of the movie ' The Wrong Blind Date' on Earth Day, April 22, 2022. Stars of the movie Meredith Thomas, Matthew Pohlkamp, Clark Moore, Rainer Dawn, Lesli Kay and Michael Gaglio joined the festivities for a great cause. 

The North American tour of Disney’s The Lion King is celebrating its 20th anniversary today, Wednesday, April 27 in Wichita, where the award-winning musical begins a two-week return engagement tonight at The Century II Concert Hall and plays through Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Three new faces have been added to the cast of the upcoming film adaptation of The Color Purple. Terrence J. Smith will take on the role of 'Adam', Tiffany Elle Burgess will play 'Olivia', and Aba Arthur will also join the cast.
