The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, kicks off its 2018-19 season with Roll Over Beethoven: A Different Kind of Orchestra on Friday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The orchestra is joined by three time 'Las Vegas Headliner of the Year' singer Frankie Moreno, plus band and a pair of dancers, for an evening of rock 'n' roll favorites by Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and others. Songs include 'Great Balls of Fire,' 'Jailhouse Rock,' 'Eleanor Rigby,' 'Bridge Over Troubled Water,' and more.

Actors Fund announces today it is hosting its first "Celebrity Paddle Battle", a one-night-only benefit evening on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 6:30-9:30 pm at SPiN New York (48 East 23rd St. NYC 10010). event is hosted in part by The Actors Fund's Young Professionals Committee and will support the programs and services of The Actors Fund. This will be a fun evening of ping pong, a 3-hour open bar, light fare and a chance for guests (age 21+) to mingle and play a game or two with performers from stage and screen.

Music Theatre Wichita concludes its 2018 Season with the return of Disney's "The Little Mermaid," directed and choreographed by Linda Goodrich, with musical direction by Thomas W. Douglas. The 60-member cast includes Broadway veterans working alongside some of the nation's most promising new talent, all showcased in an brand-new staging, featuring imaginative sets and costumes inspired by the classic Disney film. In 2011, Music Theatre Wichita was one of the first three theatres in the country to receive permission from the Disney Company to produce this title following its Broadway run, and the new edition marks the local premiere of the newly revised script and score. "The Little Mermaid" runs for ten performances, August 8-18 at the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, Kansas.
