As Frozen celebrates its first year on Broadway, Disney Theatrical Productions today announces the opening of a new production of the musical in London's West End in Autumn 2020. With music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and book by Jennifer Lee, Michael Grandage's production, with set and costume designs by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Natasha Katz, and choreography by Rob Ashford, will reopen the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Mean Girls star Kate Rockwell just announced her upcoming solo concert, Back To My Roots, based off her solo album of the same name, at The Loft at City Winery on April 22.

Paper Mill Playhouse announces the lineup for its 2019-2020 season with three premieres and a total of five musicals.

Central School of Ballet announces new MA Choreography programme participants: Anjali Mehra-Hughes from New Adventures and Sandrine Monin from Phoenix Dance Theatre. The students joined Central this spring on the MA programme that takes 18 months on average to complete, providing the opportunity for professional choreographers to hone their skills, engage in research and develop their practice at the highest level.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the first publicly performed collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, first appeared on Broadway in 1982. The musical actually began its life as a short pop cantata in London, and it was modified and expanded a number of times before it appeared on Broadway. The musical is based on the story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis. In the musical, the story about Joseph is told by the Narrator, a character who exists outside the time and place in which the story takes place. It's the Narrator's job to engage the audience and draw them into the story of Joseph. Broadway World recently spoke to Erica Clare, who portrays the Narrator in the upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.

In 10th Grade, I was in the chorus of a production of Oklahoma! in the auditorium of my synagogue and it was the best theatrical experience I've ever had. I remember getting home from the closing night cast party and crying myself to sleep. I could cry now putting on the movie or listening to 'The Farmer and the Cowman,' or maybe most of all, if I sing a little bit of the introduction to the title song.

The Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts (APA), a magnet program for the Huntington Beach Union High School District, presents 'The Phantom of the Opera' by its Musical Theatre department. The show will run from March 15 to 17 and 22 to 24, with show times at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The six performances will be held in the Historic Huntington Beach Union High School District Auditorium and Bell Tower, with tickets priced at $22 for adults and $16 for students and seniors. Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati presented by TriHealth announces a highly-anticipated season lineup of shows including new musicals ANASTASIA, MEAN GIRLS, and COME FROM AWAY and reimagined classic musicals HELLO, DOLLY!, LES MISERABLES, and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.
