On this day 2012, the first Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's acclaimed musical, Evita opened at the Marquis Theater.

The 2019-2020 M&T Bank Broadway Season at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre, presented by the Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) and Albert Nocciolino, was unveiled on Thursday, April 4th. Following the current record-breaking 2018-2019 Season, anchored by HAMILTON, and boasting nearly 14,000 Subscribers, for the first time, the '19-'20 Season Ticket Package will offer seven award-winning shows, headlined by pop-culture phenomenon DEAR EVAN HANSEN.

The Center for the Arts at George Mason University announced today the 2019/2020 season of Great Performances at Mason, its annual series featuring leading national and international artists in the disciplines of classical music, opera, jazz, ballet, modern dance, theater, and global music and dance. BroadwayWorld has just learned that at a special CinemaCon event today, Jennifer Hudson performed 'Memory' - Grizabella's soaring second act ballad which convinces the Jellicles to select her to be the cat which is reborn to a new Jellicle life.

Broadway legend Andrew Lloyd Webber's high-octane Broadway and West End hit School of Rock - The Musical is coming to San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts (255 S. Almaden Blvd.) from Tuesday, June 4 through Sunday, June 9, 2019. 

Working Title has announced that production has wrapped at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, UK for the big screen adaptation of Cats, which is set to hit theatres on December 20, 2019!

Following its world premiere at The Lowry, Salford in May, a sold-out run at as part of Traverse Festival 2018 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and a London transfer to Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Other Palace where it is set to play from the 4th April - 3rd August, it is today announced that Nigel Slater's Toast will then tour the UK. Launching at Huddersfield's Lawrence Batley Theatre on 19 August, where the play's writer Henry Filloux-Bennett has recently been appointed Chief Executive, the run will conclude its run at the Crewe Lyceum on 7 December.
