Emerson Colonial theatre announces a special 20th anniversary screening of the 1999 psychological horror film, The Blair Witch Project. The evening will consist of a special screening of the film, followed by a moderated question-and-answer session with the film's director, Eduardo Sanchez, and actor Michael C. Williams.

The Jamie Lloyd Company, the hugely successful partnership between the UK's leading theatre company Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) and Artistic Director Jamie Lloyd, today announces Golden Globe and Olivier Award nominated James McAvoy is to lead the company of Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac, freely adapted by Martin Crimp. The production marks the first in a new season directed by Jamie Lloyd at the Playhouse Theatre from November 2019 to August 2020. Further productions to be announced.

Emerson Colonial theatre announces the launch of guided historical tours of the venue. The commencement of the tours marks the one year anniversary since it reopened its doors in 2018. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in stories of the building's rich history, specifically about the birth of musicals at the Colonial prior to their Broadway bows, admire the famed architecture from the turn of the last century and take a behind-the-scenes look at Boston's oldest continuously operated theatre.
