McDaniel’s vision for their collaboration, his music direction, and accompaniment brought an award-winning musical theatre actor back to the stage after a lengthy hiatus. Their show played directly into the strengths of Ripley’s vocal stylings with her massive voice. Ripley belted for two hours while these two artists graciously gave more of themselves than most artists do with a 90-minute cabaret set.
Alexis Carra's Diana battles with bipolar disorder and the effects of her illness on her husband Dan, portrayed by Jim Sorensen, and their daughter Natalie, played by Mariela Zeno, bring to light the complexities of mental health and the challenges it poses to familial relationships. The cast also includes Nicholas Perez-Hoop as Dr. Madden, Ben Sutherland as Gabe, and Max Dalton as Henry, all contributing to the powerful story.
