Today's top stories: last night's Drama Desk Awards were postponed, and more!

The online concert, KINGS OF BROADWAY 2020, was held today, May 31st. The concert celebrated the music of the legendary Broadway composers Jule Styne, Jerry Herman & Stephen Sondheim.

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, plans for the annual Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year (#SSSSPOTY) were sadly cancelled. The week that lockdown was announced, 70 students from colleges nationwide had been due to travel to London, in order to select 12 finalists to compete for Student Performer of the Year 2020 in June.

The Stephen Sondheim Society has joined forces with Jordan Li-Smith to raise much needed funds for Acting for Others.

Sheffield Theatres today announce the full cast for Robert Hastie's new production of Coriolanus. The production follows his critically acclaimed productions of Julius Caesar and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Joining previously announced cast member Tom Bateman are Hermon Berhane, Mudassar Dar, Stella Gonet, Esther McAuley, Remmie Milner, Theo Ogundipe, Louis J Rhone, Eddie-Joe Robinson, Kate Rutter, Malcolm Sinclair, Katy Stephens, Ben Wiggins and Alex Young. The company is completed by members of Sheffield People's Theatre, Sheffield Theatres' intergenerational theatre company.

Today, Mercury Musical Developments and Musical Theatre Network, in partnership with Royal & Derngate Northampton, are delighted to announce the line-up for their upcoming BEAM2020 showcase. CenterPoint Legacy Theatre's extraordinary production of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME is visually intricate and emotionally stirring. The production is astonishingly well-conceived and carried out. It does justice to the beautiful story and score, and it is highly recommended.
